Brosterfield Cottage

Brosterfield Cottage

Brosterfield Cottage is believed to date from the late seventeenth century. It represents a detached cottage offering a complete contrast from Fern Cottage insofar as it is around half a mile from the village approached by way of a private driveway serving Brosterfield Farm and Brosterfield Hall.

The cottage enjoys outstanding open views across fields taking in Longstone Edge and the village of Wardlow. It was converted from being a farm building into its present form in 1983 and has subsequently been refurbished on a regular basis.

The building is of limestone with oak stained beams to the interior. Whilst visitors have access to much of the eight acres attached to Brosterfield Hall, and many enjoy taking short strolls enjoying the views, the cottage has its own parking area and  lawned garden. A garden seat along with a table and chairs are in place to the frontage.

Brosterfield Cottage has central heating (included in the prices quoted), electric cooking facilities and is carpeted throughout.

An open staircase with high picture window leads up to the BEDROOM which takes advantage of the view. The single beds can be easily placed together at the guest's option. There is a walk-in wardrobe area. A waxed pine dressing table is in place and a feature is the co-ordinated fabrics of the curtains, bedding etc. (duvet style bedding/sheets/pillowcases are provided).
